Description: The grey snapper is grey to green in coloration with darker outer edges on its tail fin. Large schools of snapper have been observed primarily in coral reefs in the Western Atlantic. The snapper schools during the day and feeds at night. They are small reaching only 24 inches in length. The snapper feeds on various invertebrates and small fish. Sharks, barracudas and moray eels often feast on grey snappers.
