Description: A common type of lizardfish, the sand diver, is a specialist in camouflage. The mottled coloration helps the fish blend in easily with a rocky habitat The Sand diver will lie quietly on top of sand or slightly buried waiting for unsuspecting prey to swim over it. The fish will quickly ambush its prey grasping it with its sharp teeth.They can reach 36 cm in length.
