Blue trevally
Scientific name: Carangoides ferdau
Description: The blue trevally has 6 to 7 opaque vertical bars on its silver and compressed body. They often travel in large schools for long distances. The trevally inhabits coastal waters and offshore reefs in the Indo-Pacific. They can measure up to 70 cm or over 2 feet in length. The fish will feed primarily on crustaceans and other small fish.
