Gold striped gotfish
Scientific name: Mulloidichthys vanicolensis
Description: Goatfish can be recognized by the yellow stripe running along the side from the eye to the yellow forked tail while the rest of the body is silver. This fish also possesses barbels on its chin. They are nocturnal fish found in the warm waters of the Indo-Pacific. The fish like to school during the day for protection against predators.
Fun Facts: They have two barbels on their chin to help probe and detect prey, such as worms and brittle stars, lying in the sand
