Big eye snapper
Scientific name: Lutjanus Lutjanus
Description: The big eye snapper is easily identified by its brownish yellow stripe running along its side from the mouth to the tail. The general body of the fish is silver and can measure up to 30 cm in length. They possess large eyes relative to their bodies. The fish is found frequenting the warm tropical waters of the Indo Pacific.
Fun Facts: The diameter of the snapper’s eye is greater that distance measured from the eye to the upper jaw!
