Description: This fish lives in caribbean reefs and seagrass beds. The sharpnose puffer actually feeds on seagrass making it a convenient home for the puffer. They also feed on sponges, crabs and starfish. They are found in the Atlantic ocean and can be easily distinguished by the pointed mouth, the pale body with bright blue lines and dark borders on its tail fin.

- The sharpnose puffer feeds often on hard-shelled organisms. If these prey become rare, their beak or teeth will overgrow!

- Pufferfish can change the color of their skin to communicate defeat against another male by portraying a mottled coloration on their body!
